About This Call
The 22nd Annual Lone Tree Fine Art Expo is presented by the City of Lone Tree and the Lone Tree Arts Commission. This juried exhibition runs October 5th, 2023 – January 7th, 2024 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, 10075 Commons Street, Lone Tree, Colorado, 80124. Artists are eligible to submit up to three pieces of artwork in the following categories: Painting (oil, acrylic, tempera, encaustic), Drawing (pastel, pencil, charcoal), Watercolor, Mixed Media, and Sculpture (cannot exceed 24"). A non-refundable entry fee of $35 is required. Artwork must be original, completed within the last three years (2020-2023), and not previously shown in a Lone Tree art exhibition. Two-dimensional work cannot exceed 48", must be a minimum of 12", and cannot weigh more than 45 pounds. Three-dimensional artwork cannot exceed 24" and not weigh more than 75 pounds. All work must be dropped off in person on Tuesday, October 3rd between 3pm – 6pm; pick-up is Monday, January 8th between 3pm – 6pm.
Artwork must be gallery ready with appropriate hardware compatible with the Arakawa Hanging System, which uses a clip-in mechanism requiring D-rings and picture wire. Wall-mounted work may not exceed 45 pounds and must be framed (matting highly suggested) or gallery wrapped. A label must be attached to the back identifying artist, title, category, and price. Artists will receive email notification by September 9th, 2023 regarding acceptance. The juror is Eriq Hochuli, Curator at Foothills Art Center. Awards include Best of Show, Commissioner's Choice, and First and Second Place awards in each category, with prize money awarded to winners.
Accepted artists may sell bin work at the opening reception (October 11th, 2023) only, with a 20% sales commission applied to all sales. Artists must provide a bio and contact information for inclusion in a 3-ring binder available throughout the exhibit. Artwork may not be removed prior to the end of the exhibition.
