2023 Lone Tree Cabinet Wrap Program

The Lone Tree Arts Commission seeks original designs from area artists to beautify traffic signal and utility boxes placed throughout the city. Selected designs will be printed on vinyl and installed by a third-party fabricator. Artists are encouraged to explore original concepts and avoid common iconography already used in Lone Tree. Bright and vibrant colors are highly encouraged. Designs should add to the vibrancy of the cityscape and create a sense of community and connection.

Submitted designs must be original works in compliance with copyright laws. Artwork may not contain advertising, religious content, sexual or violent imagery, or other content unsuitable for all ages, and cannot convey political partisanship. Each artist or team may submit up to three ideas. Work must be finalized artwork (not conceptual) and able to be translated into a digital file in PDF vector format at 300 dpi. Designs must engage all four sides of the box; the top does not require a design.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Lone Tree Arts Commission for compliance with requirements, creativity, and overall quality. The Arts Commission will select 2 designs and present recommendations to council. Selected artists will each receive $500. Eligibility is limited to Colorado residents; community or student groups may apply. Applicants cannot be members of the Lone Tree Arts Commission or employees of the City of Lone Tree. Deadline: September 12, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notifications will be sent October 18, 2023, with installation in late 2023.
