About This Call
The 2023 Human Rights Art Exhibition is open to international artists of all media, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation art, drawings, photography, and mixed media. Artwork must address human rights, social justice, or environmental issues and be original. Each artist may submit up to five works. The exhibition runs from March 7-29, 2023.
Submission fee is $25 for 1-5 entries. All work must be ready to hang or display in undamaged condition and cannot exceed 72 inches in any dimension or weigh more than 50 pounds. Work must be dry, complete, and prepared professionally with appropriate hanging hardware attached. If selected, artists are responsible for delivery by the deadline. Return shipping within the United States will be paid by sponsors up to $100; international return shipping must cost under $200. Artists have the option to donate selected work to the College of the Sequoias permanent art collection.
No sales commission will be taken on artwork sales; interested buyers will be directed to contact artists directly. An exhibit catalog will be printed and sent to all accepted participants. Best of Show and Merit awards will be selected by the juror and highlighted in the catalog. All accepted work will be featured on the humanrightsartexhibit.com website.
