2023 Great Northern Art Explosion

AuSable Artisan Village presents the Great Northern Art Explosion, an international juried art exhibition held at Artisan Village art gallery in downtown Grayling, Michigan. Artists are invited to submit original artwork in all styles and mediums with no specific theme.

The exhibition offers over $10,000 in awards. Juror awards include First Place ($2,500), Award of Excellence ($1,000), and Best of Category awards ($250 each, up to 2 categories). People's Choice awards include First Place ($2,500), Second Place ($1,000), and Best of Category awards ($250 each). No artwork will receive more than one award. The show runs from the members and artists only opening reception on August 26, 2022, through the award ceremony on September 11, 2022.

Eligibility: Open to artists 18 years or older. All artwork must be original in concept and execution and completed within the last three years. Work must not have been previously shown in any Great Northern Art Explosion exhibit. Maximum artwork size is 48 inches in width (including frame) and 108 inches in height. Entry fee is $30 for AuSable Artisan Village members and $40 for non-members per entry. Submissions must include one image per category entry. Accepted artwork must arrive by August 24, 2022. Notification of acceptance is July 31, 2022.
