About This Call

The Lincoln Center, a city-owned arts center and events facility in Fort Collins, Colorado, is seeking proposals for solo and group exhibitions in all media from artists and curators living in the United States for exhibitions through 2024. There is an application fee of $35. Residents of the Fort Collins Growth Management Area receive a discount with code FC23. This application operates on a rolling deadline with submissions reviewed by The Lincoln Center staff for exhibitions through 2024, closing on December 31, 2023.

The Lincoln Center Art Gallery offers approximately 1,450 square feet of exhibition space accommodating a wide variety of media, with additional lobby space of approximately 46 linear feet by 8 feet high for 2-dimensional work only. Exhibition lengths vary from 5 to 7 weeks. Artists or curators selected for exhibition may be asked to present an educational program such as a lecture, gallery talk, workshop, or other special presentation relating to the exhibition. The Lincoln Center may combine multiple applicants for group exhibitions and will determine the amount of support or honorarium for the artist(s).

Artworks must be available for loan during the entire exhibition period and shipped installation ready unless otherwise noted. For 2D work, the preferred standard is hanging wire or cleat (no sawtooth hangers). Only Plexiglas framing is accepted for shipped 2D artwork. All hanging hardware must be included with detailed instructions for non-standard installation. Each artwork must have a label on the back or bottom with artist's name, title, media, date of completion, and sale price or insurance value. The Lincoln Center retains a 30% commission on all sales and reserves the right to use images of artworks for educational and promotional purposes. Applicants must submit up to 8 image files (including up to 2 video files) of current work completed since 2020, an artist statement of approximately 500 words describing themes, exhibition goals, special installation needs, and community outreach ideas, and a resumé or CV of 4 pages or less including website address, exhibition history, lecture or gallery program experience, awards, and reviews. This call is open to artists residing in the United States.
