2023 Annual All Member Exhibition

This annual juried exhibition is held at the Louisiana State Archives Gallery and is open to all AWA members: general, exhibiting, and sustaining. Participating members may submit up to three (3) paintings for consideration. Works are submitted to a juror who makes all selections for the exhibition.

All work must be original to the artist and completed within the past three years. Work must not be a copy or largely derivative of another person's art or photograph without permission. Previously shown work in AWA exhibitions is not eligible. For this exhibition, all artwork submitted must be new work that has never been shown within the city of Baton Rouge in any gallery, juried, curated, or general exhibition, group show, or similar format. This does not include work shown in open houses or on personal social media accounts or websites. Nudes are not permitted in the Archives Gallery facility.

Framing requirements include simple wood or metal framing for all accepted work (other than gallery wrap canvases). Gallery wrap canvases must have a 1½" stretcher frame without exposed staples and must be painted on all sides. Works displayed under glass must have acid-free mats and backing boards in neutral colors (white, off-white, light gray). All artwork must be securely attached to the frame and wired for hanging with D-Rings or screw eyes and wire on two-dimensional work. All work is exhibited at the artist's own risk. Each artist is responsible for delivery and pickup of artwork on designated dates and times. Paintings may not be removed from the exhibition before the closing date.

Submit high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile. Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted by the entry deadline of August 25, 2023.
