About This Call
The 2023 Abiquiu Inn Sculpture Walk & Garden Exhibition is a juried sculpture competition accepting submissions through March 31, 2023. The competition is juried by Doug Coffin and Star York. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place, with winners and selected runners-up having sculptures on display from April 2023 to March 2024 in the Abiquiu Inn Sculpture Walk & Garden.
Artists may submit 1-5 applications (one entry per application, maximum 5 applications) of 3D sculptures in any medium appropriate for outdoor display. Work samples should include 1-3 images and optionally 1 video. There is no entry fee. Selected entries must be transported by the artist to New Mexico for exhibition. Eligibility is open to professional artists, 18 years and up, nationally.
Key dates: Art submission deadline is March 31, 2023. Juried notification will be April 20, 2023. Sculpture intake is by appointment April 20-May 8, 2023. Opening reception is Saturday, May 20, 3-5pm. Sculpture outtake is by appointment March-April 2024. First place award is $1,000, second place is $500, and third place is $300. Winners will be announced on social media and website.
