About This Call
Maude Kerns Art Center is accepting submissions for its 2023 & 2024 Exhibits Season. Local, regional, and national artists (individuals and groups) working in 2- and 3-dimensional mediums, as well as installation art, are invited to submit their work for consideration. Solo, group, and/or themed shows will be curated based on the content, quality, and number of submissions. Established, mid-career, and emerging artists are encouraged to apply.
Submissions must include a minimum of 10 images and a maximum of 20 images total. One audio or video file may be submitted in place of an image, not exceeding 3 minutes or 100 MB in size. Individual artists should provide an artist resume and artist statement. For group submissions (two or more artists), provide a resume for each artist, a statement describing the overall theme or concept of the exhibit, and individual artists' statements. One artist must be designated as the coordinator. The entry fee is $30 for individual or group submissions. Up to 2 applications per artist are allowed.
Jurors will be accomplished artists and art professionals who will select work based on quality and technical excellence. The Art Center insures artwork once it is checked in. Shipping fees and insurance for artwork in transit are the artist's responsibility. All artwork must be prepared to hang or be installed professionally. Sales are encouraged; the Art Center retains a 40% commission on all sales, with artists retaining 60%. The Art Center will list work for sale on its website during the exhibit period.
