2022 Texas State Photo Rodeo | International Photography Exhibition

The Texas State Photo Rodeo is an international photography exhibition open to all photographers. Finalists will be featured in a two-month gallery exhibition at Sí Gallery, located in the East Sixth neighborhood of Downtown Austin. Like a real rodeo, there will be multiple judged categories with an overall winner.

Artists selected for the exhibit will be featured in a hard-cover photography book to commemorate the exhibition. Six artists will receive a feature solo exhibition consisting of current work curated by the gallery director, presented as a three-month online exclusive. Awards will be given to the six event category winners and one overall winner. The exhibition categories are: Bareback Riding (Portrait/Figurative/Still Life), Barrel Racing (Travel/Landscape/Cityscapes), Saddle Bronc (Documentary/Journalist/Cultural Commentary/Entertainment), Team Roping (Abstract/Macro), Steer Wrestling (Music/Sports/Entertainment), and Bull Riding (Non-Traditional Applications/Collage/Sculpture).

Submissions must include 5-20 images. Entry fee is $45 plus a $5 media fee. All photography genres, formats, and print mediums are considered. Photographers must be at least 18 years old. Selected artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. All work must be unsold and the artist must own sole copyright. Frames, mats, and wiring must be professional quality and in good condition. The gallery retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales. Sales remittances are paid within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer.
