2022 Photography Show

The Spanish Peaks Arts Council (SPACe) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to the support and enrichment of the arts and art education in the Spanish Peaks region of southern Colorado. SPACe operates its art gallery in La Veta year round and invites photographers working in all forms of photography to enter the 2022 Photography Show. Awards will be given in two categories: Color and Monochromatic/Black & White. All subjects are eligible.

Up to 4 images may be submitted for a fee of $20 each. Images must be identified as Color or Monochromatic/Black & White. Submitted pieces should be 30" wide or less, including the frame; smaller works are encouraged. Prize awards: First prize $400, Second prize $250, Third prize $100. SPACe members may use coupon code 22CPN to receive $5 off the entry fee for each image entered.

Photography that has been shown in the SPACe Gallery or Gift Shop in the last 12 months (except the Members Show) will not be accepted. Photography submitted must be the original concept and creation of the individual answering the call. The photographer must include a description of the methods used to create the works submitted. Notifications of accepted works will be sent by June 15. Shipped works must arrive by July 15; hand delivered works must arrive by July 21. The opening reception is Saturday, July 30, 5–7 pm, with awards presented. The judge will be announced on the SPACe website.
