2022 Open Theme Annual

Webster Arts invites art submissions for the Open Theme Annual 2022, a national call for art in all media. The exhibition is open to all artists aged 18 or older residing in the US or abroad. Artists are encouraged to submit 2D and 3D work on any theme. Work created under instruction is not eligible.

Submit up to three JPEG digital images (1000 to 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size). The exhibition will consist of two- and three-dimensional work in any medium. Wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" X 48" and weigh no more than 20 lbs. Free-standing pieces on pedestals may not exceed 32" X 32" X 60" or weigh more than 40 lbs. No floor or ceiling-hung installations or video work. All work must be the original conception and execution of the artist listed on the application. Do not submit work previously exhibited at Webster Arts galleries, including Paint Webster.

Entry fee is $25 for up to three entries (non-refundable). Exhibition dates are January 18 – February 28, 2022. An independent juror will select work for inclusion and award cash prizes: $250 Best in Show and two $100 Awards of Excellence. Sales are encouraged; Webster Arts receives a 30% commission on all exhibition sales. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from Webster Arts using FedEx, UPS, or DHL, and must include a pre-paid return shipping label. Artwork may also be hand-delivered during scheduled times. All artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through pickup by the carrier. Photographs of accepted artwork may be used for promotional purposes.
