2022 Holiday Shop at the Ann Arbor Art Center

The Ann Arbor Art Center is seeking handmade works of art for the Holiday Shop, with an emphasis on giftable items including functional ceramics, jewelry, and 2D artwork. The A2AC's physical and online shop showcases works by local and regional artists year-round. During this holiday season, the center is engaging new artists from the Midwest region, with a focus on Michigan.

Artists must submit 1-5 high-quality photographs of original works. All mediums are encouraged including ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, glass, fibers, and 2D artwork such as painting, printmaking, mixed media, encaustic, and photography. Eligibility requirements: artists must be over 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US; artwork must be original and no older than three years; only well-crafted, original artwork will be accepted (no giclees, reproductions, or manufactured work); all artwork must be professionally framed, presented, and ready for installation. The entry fee is $20.00.

Artwork may be hand-delivered or shipped via UPS, USPS, or FedEx, with artists responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. Drop-off dates are October 10-21 by appointment only. The Art Center retains a 50% commission on all artwork sold. Artists not selected are welcome to submit new works in the next application cycle. Submission deadline: September 14, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified of jury results via email on October 7.
