About This Call
The 2022 Hi-Art Exhibition is a combination of virtual and live exhibit in the Tubac Center of the Arts front gallery. Selected award winners will be presented live at the opening on Friday, April 8, 2022. The exhibition runs through Sunday, May 8, 2022.
This annual exhibit offers high school students an opportunity to learn how to professionally present their artwork, share and sell their art with the community and visitors to the Tubac Center of the Arts. Each artist may submit one image of original art created during the 2021-2022 school year. Artwork may be for sale with the price determined by the artist; the artist will receive 100 percent of the sale and TCA does not take a commission on student art. All wall art, printmaking, drawings, and paintings must be framed and wired for hanging to qualify for inclusion in the exhibition. No sawtooth hangers are permitted.
Senior students are encouraged to apply with a written scholarship application and an image of their best artwork for consideration of a $3,000 college scholarship. Awards include: Senior Scholarship ($3,000), Best of Show ($350), Award of Excellence ($250), Award of Merit ($175), and Honorable Mention ($150). Entry deadline is March 23, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Eligible applicants are Santa Cruz Valley AZ high school students.
