2022 Boulder Open Studios Membership & Studio Tour

This call for entry is for both the Open Studios Artist Membership (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023) and the Open Studios Tour (October 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, 2022). All applications are reviewed and scored by a panel of jurors. Up to 140 artists with the highest scores will receive invitations to participate in the Open Studios Tour in October 2022. Accepting the Tour invitation is not mandatory; artists may participate in the Membership program without participating in the Tour.

A $37 non-refundable application fee is required with the online application. Artists will be notified of acceptance for Membership on or before June 13, 2022. If accepted for Membership, a Membership agreement and $85 participation fee ($75 for returning Members from the 2021-2022 Membership year) must be submitted by June 30, 2022. Fees are non-refundable. The 2022 Tour participation fee is $185, in addition to the Membership Fee, for a total of $270 ($260 for returning 2021-2022 Members).

Membership benefits include an Artist Page in the openstudios.org Members' online catalog, placement of artwork in a Members' Exhibit, optional Virtual Video Tour of studio, opportunity to sell art through Open Studios' online shops and galleries, sales and marketing training, first-in-line opportunities for POP! Galleries and corporate art programs, listing in the Art Class Search, opportunities for paid teaching and outreach residencies, discounts on other Open Studios programs, and ongoing marketing campaigns. Tour artists must participate at a location within the Open Studios map and are required to provide an educational component about their art-making process. Tour artists are also required to contribute 10% of gross art sales resulting from the Tour to Open Studios by the end of the calendar year.
