2022 Boulder Art Association National Juried Art Exhibition at R Gallery

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the 2022 Boulder Art Association National Juried Art Exhibition. Boulder Art Association is the oldest art association in Boulder, Colorado and continues to provide high quality art shows. The 2022 juried show will be held at R Gallery in downtown Boulder, half a block from the Pearl Street Mall. The exhibition is open to artists living in the U.S. in all styles and mediums, with no specific theme. The show will run April 27, 2022 through May 29, 2022.

Eligibility: Open to all artists in the United States. All artwork must be original in concept and execution. Artists in all media are encouraged to apply, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and mixed-media. The maximum size is 48 inches in the longest dimension (including frame), though pieces less than 30" wide are preferred. Reproduction giclées will not be accepted. Work must have been completed in the last three years and not previously shown in any Boulder Art Association exhibit. A maximum of five works may be submitted.

Entry fees: $20 for BAA members ($40 for non-members) for one entry; $25 for two entries ($45 non-members); $30 for three entries ($50 non-members); $35 for four entries ($55 non-members); $40 for five entries ($60 non-members). Submission deadline is April 4, 2022 at midnight Mountain Time. Notification of acceptance will be April 11. Shipped artwork must arrive no later than April 20, 2022. Work will be returned by June 15, 2022 unless otherwise agreed upon.

Awards: Best of Show/First Place $500, 2nd Place $300, 3rd Place $200, Sponsored Award $200, 5 Creative Merit Awards $100 each, Judge's Choice Award $100, and Peoples' Choice Award $100. Juror: Edson Beckett, an art teacher with 39 years of experience. Judge: Anna Kaye, a Denver artist and educator. All sales will be handled through R Gallery with a 50% commission. All pieces must remain up for the duration of the exhibition and must be for sale.
