2022 Age + Action—Photography Award Contest

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) invites U.S.-based professional and amateur photographers and visual artists to submit work for the 2022 Age + Action—Photography Award Contest. The theme is "One person caring for another represents life's greatest value." Artists are invited to share their stories of older adults in community and caregivers who have been caring for their aging loved ones. The contest aims to foster dialogue and drive innovation in the photographic arts.

Submissions must include 2-10 images in JPEG format with a minimum file size (long dimension) of 960 pixels and maximum of 4600 pixels, with a maximum file size of 5MB. All images must be titled; "untitled" is not allowed. File names should contain only the artist's last name, first name, and image title. Entry is free. The submission deadline is May 16, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.

Awards include: 1 First Prize ($1,000), 1 Second Prize ($500), 4 Awards of Merit ($250 each), and 10 Honorable Mentions ($100 each). Winners of First Prize, Second Prize, and Merit Awards will receive a one-year free promotion and support to build a professional portfolio website using FolioLink website service; existing FolioLink account holders will receive a second website free for two years. Award winners will be announced May 30, 2022, with the NCOA online gallery opening June 6, 2022, and awards mailed June 12, 2022.
