About This Call
This is the 2nd Annual Hawaiʻi Statewide Jury Exhibition for plein aire work, open to all Hawaii-based artists. The juror is Richard Rochkovsky.
Submission deadline is January 15, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Artists will be notified on January 18, 2021. Artwork drop-off at Wailoa Center is Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Kona pick-up is available at Donkey Mill on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Off-island work must be received by January 29, 2021 and shipped to: Wailoa Center, 200 Piopio St., Hilo, Hawaii. Artists are financially responsible for shipping costs and must include a prepaid return label and $10 handling fee.
The exhibition opens February 5, 2021 with an open house from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The exhibition closes February 25, 2021. Artists must pick up work on February 26, 2021. Entry fee is $15 per submission with a maximum of five entries per artist. Additional media fee is $15. Submit 1-5 images. No photography, reproductions, or digital art will be accepted. Works should be for sale; HIAA will charge 20% commission on all sales. Monetary prizes will be awarded. Contact: [email protected]
