2021 Newport Beach Art Exhibition

The 56th Annual Newport Beach Art Exhibition presents an opportunity for artists to show and sell their artwork to the public in a one-day exhibit, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting community art programs throughout the year. Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 Delta variant, the City Arts Commission has elected to postpone this event to June 2022. Artists who have already submitted entries are eligible for a full refund of their entry fees.

The exhibition is open to accomplished artists 18 years of age and older. Artists may submit up to two works of art. Entry fees are $35 for one entry or $50 for two entries. Works must have been created within the last two years and must be original artwork only—not works done in school, under instructor supervision, or copied from published photos, artist reproductions, or Giclée. Photography must be signed and numbered. All two-dimensional artwork must be framed, with a size limit of 36" x 48" (dimensions do not include frame). Three-dimensional artwork is limited to works 150 lbs. or less. Artists must provide appropriate display equipment: a table-top easel for two-dimensional artwork up to 24" x 24", a sturdy stand-up easel for larger two-dimensional work, and a pedestal for three-dimensional artwork. Delivery and retrieval of all artwork must be done in person or by a designated representative on the assigned day and time. No shipped artwork will be accepted. All works must remain available until 6 p.m. on the day of the event.

Awards are offered in the following categories: Paintings (Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor), Drawings (Ink, Pencil, Charcoal), Photography, and 3D Art (Sculpture and 3D Mixed Media). Each category offers 1st place $300, 2nd place $200, and 3rd place $100. Additional awards include Juror's Choice ($200) and People's Choice ($100). A W-9 is required for awarding of cash prizes.
