About This Call
The 2021 MidSummer Art Celebration 4th Annual All Media Juried Exhibit is open to all Hawaii-based artists working in 2D and 3D in all mediums and styles. Artists may submit a maximum of five entries, with a $15 non-refundable entry fee for each submission. Work samples should include 1-5 images. Videos are accepted with a $3 surcharge per video.
The submission window closes Friday, May 14 at 5:59 PM. Selected artists will be notified Monday, May 17. Artwork drop-off at Wailoa Center is Saturday, May 29 between 10:00am-12:00pm. For Kona artists, pick-up is available at Donkey Mill on Friday, May 28 at 10:00am. Off-island work must be received by Friday, May 28. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from Wailoa Center and must include a prepaid return label and $10 handling fee with packages.
The exhibition opens Friday, June 4 with an open house from 1:00pm-6:00pm and closes Wednesday, June 30. Artists must pick up work Thursday, July 1 between 10:00am-2:00pm. Juror Iliahi Anthony will select works demonstrating transformation of materials, depth of skill, and individual artistic voice. Monetary prizes will be awarded. Works should be for sale; Hawaii Art Alliance will charge 20% commission on all sales.
