About This Call
The Center for Photographic Art (CPA) invites current and new members to submit work for the 2021 Members' Juried Exhibition. This year the exhibition offers $2,000 in awards. New or current CPA members working in all still photographic media are welcome to enter with no theme restrictions; any subject matter is eligible.
Submissions are accepted January 12 through February 26, 2021 at 11:59pm MDT. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each (up to 20 total images). Images must be submitted at 1920 pixels (longest dimension) @ 72 ppi, 8-bit JPEG, AdobeRGB (1998) profile, not exceeding 5MB. Each image must be titled; "Untitled" is not allowed. All entrants will be notified of results via email after March 6, 2021.
Forty-five images selected by juror Susan Burnstine will be exhibited in the historic CPA gallery in Carmel, CA, and featured in an online gallery on the CPA website. Up to an additional forty-five images will be selected for the online gallery only. All selected images will be published in the 2021 Members' Juried Exhibition catalog. Awards include: Best of Show $1,000, 2nd Place $500, 3rd Place $250, and five merit mentions at $50 each. Gallery-selected artwork must arrive by April 2, 2021 and must be ready-to-hang, framed with acrylic Plexiglas only (no glass), not exceeding 30 inches on the long side and weighing less than 10 pounds. The exhibition runs April 10-May 9, 2021, with a virtual reception and awards presentation on April 10, 2021. For non-members, membership is available at https://photography.org/shop/joincpa/
