2021 Left Coast Annual Juried Exhibition

Sanchez Art Center invites submissions for the 2021 Left Coast Annual Juried Exhibition, held April 9 - May 16, 2021. The exhibition will be presented both in-person and virtually through Sanchez Art Center's online galleries.

Eligibility: Open to artists age 18 and older from California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii. All fine arts visual media will be considered. Artwork shown in prior juried exhibitions at Sanchez Art Center is not eligible. Work must fit through a standard-sized door (80" x 35") and weigh less than 50 lbs. Framed 2D work must be wired (no sawtooth hangers). Artists may submit up to 20 entries, including jpegs and up to 2 videos. Entry fee is $15 per image or video submitted. The juror is Christine Koppes, Curator and Director of Public Programs at ICA San José.

Awards: 2 Exhibition Awards ($250 plus an exhibition in 2022) and 2 Merit Awards ($250). In-person gallery hours are Friday-Sunday, 1-5pm by appointment. Artists are encouraged to gallery sit for one day during the show. Sales are encouraged with Sanchez Art Center retaining a 30% commission. Accepted artists will be notified by February 22. Hand-delivered work must arrive by March 29, 5pm; shipped work must arrive by the same deadline with prepaid return shipping labels included. Work pickup is May 16, 5-6:30pm or May 17, 10am-12pm. Entry deadline: Tuesday, February 2, 2021, 11pm PST.
