2021 International Juried Exhibition

The Center for Photographic Art (CPA) announces the 2021 International Juried Exhibition with $5,000 in awards. Forty-five juror-selected photographs will be exhibited from November 20 through December 30 in the historic gallery in Carmel, California, and will vie for eight cash awards totaling $5,000: First Place $2,500, Second Place $1,000, Third Place $500, and four awards of merit at $250 each. Selected photographs will also be featured in an online gallery on the CPA website along with an additional forty-five juror-selected images. An exhibition catalog of the entire gallery and online exhibition will be available for purchase.

The exhibition is open to all living photographers worldwide over the age of 18 working in all still photographic media. There is no theme; any subject matter is eligible. Photographs accepted for previous CPA IJE gallery exhibitions are not eligible. Submissions are accepted from July 1 through September 10, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fees are $60 for non-members or $40 for CPA members, covering 3 images. Additional images may be submitted at $10 each for up to 20 total images. All entrants must use the CallForEntry (CaFE) online entry system. Image specifications: 1920 pixels (long dimension) at 72 ppi, AdobeRGB(1998) profile, saved as 8-bit JPEG not exceeding 5MB. Images must not display visible names, titles, or watermarks. Each image must be titled; "Untitled" is not allowed.

Artists selected for the gallery exhibition will be notified by October 2, 2021. Framed photographs must be delivered to the CPA gallery no later than November 10, 2021. Ready-to-install framed artwork must have the long dimension (including matting and framing) no larger than 30 inches, be glazed with acrylic (plexiglass, not glass), weigh less than 10 pounds, and use a sturdy conventional wire hanging system.
