2021 Gifts in the Gallery Call for Artists

Artistry is a non-profit 501(c)3 arts organization hosting the annual Gifts in the Gallery holiday sale, a boutique-style sale in the Inez Greenberg Gallery at the Bloomington Center for the Arts in Bloomington, MN. The sale runs December 7-21, 2021. A review panel will jury and select approximately 60 local and regional artists to sell high-quality gifts. The kickoff celebration, "A Festive Reception," on Tuesday, December 7 opens the sale with live music, a cash bar, appetizers, and door prizes. Gifts in the Gallery will coincide with other events at the Bloomington Center for the Arts, including the City of Bloomington's indoor Farmer's Market.

Artistry will set up the sale, merchandise all items, and handle all sales transactions including Minnesota sales tax collection and payment. Artistry will retain 35% of sales. Selected artists are responsible for labeling all items with a vendor number (provided) and price, and for dropping off and picking up inventory on designated dates. Artistry is not responsible or liable for stolen, lost, or damaged merchandise or merchandise not picked up during designated times.

Eligibility: Open to artists 18 years or older who reside in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, or Wisconsin. All artwork must be original, handmade, and for sale. Applications will be juried on originality, craftsmanship, and fit for the holiday sale. Submit 5 images (.jpg format; 1200 pixels or greater on longest side; under 5 MB) representative of work you intend to sell, along with a brief statement (1000 characters or less) describing what you plan to sell, price range, and why your work is a good fit. No application fee required. Delivery of artwork: Saturday, November 27 or Monday, November 29, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Pick up remaining work: Tuesday, December 21, 5:00-7:00 p.m. or Wednesday, December 22, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Acceptance notification by 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 24.
