2021 Gallery Exhibitions & Artist Residency | Mexico City

PRPG.mx is a Dab Art Co. satellite gallery located in Colonia Juárez, Mexico City. Housed in a 2-story former residence with 3,000 square feet of combined exhibition space, the gallery features contemporary display walls and is curated exclusively by Dab Art Co. curator Michael Swank. The program focuses on artists and artwork within (but not limited to) the LGBTQ+ community.

Artists selected for exhibition will also receive a one-week virtual artist residency designed to connect artists globally, create discipline for studio practice, and provide a unified voice for shared experiences. Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. Proposals may include multiple disciplines.

Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each (maximum 20 images). An optional consultation with the gallery curator is available for $50, offering in-depth review of submissions, website, and social media accounts with constructive feedback. Entries submitted by January 31, 2021 are considered for upcoming exhibition. Entries are reviewed weekly, and notifications are sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. All work must be original, unsold, and owned solely by the artist. 2D artwork selected for exhibition must be ready to hang with professional-quality frames, mats, and wiring. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. The gallery retains a 50% commission on all sales.
