About This Call

The application is open to professional, student, and amateur sculptors of all backgrounds over the age of 18 residing or working in Iowa or surrounding states. Artists may submit up to two entries. The entry fee is $20 per sculpture. Work samples should include 3-6 images of the submitted pieces.
Five sculptors will be selected for the exhibition, running from May 19 to October 20, 2020. Each selected artist will retain ownership of their work and agree to loan it to the exhibition for the specified duration. Selected artists will receive an $800 stipend for the loan of their artwork, payable after installation is completed and inspected by Clear Lake Art Center staff. Pieces can be sold at any time during the exhibition but must remain in place for the duration. A $500 "people's choice" award will go to the piece garnering the most votes. The Clear Lake Arts Center will receive a 40% commission of any piece sold.
