2020 River to River Regional Exhibition

The Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio hosts the River to River Regional Exhibition in conjunction with the Iowa Clay Conference. The exhibition will be held at Coe College Sinclair Galleries in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and will highlight the richness and diversity of ceramic art within Iowa and across the Midwest.

The exhibition runs from Friday, September 11th through Saturday, October 10th, 2020, with a closing reception on Friday, October 9th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Participation is open to all artists 18 years of age or older living in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Work submitted must be original, use clay as the primary material, and have been completed within the last 2 years. The entry fee is $30 for two individual works. Artists may submit up to 4 images total (two images per piece). Images must be sized at 1800 px on the longest side at 300 dpi. Artists must also submit an artist statement of approximately 200 words.

Awards include 1st Place: $200 and a solo exhibition in the ICCGS Main Gallery in 2021 with a $150 stipend; 2nd Place: $100; and Honorable Mentions: $50. Floor and pedestal works must be self-supporting. Wall hanging works must be provided with secure hanging systems. Individual objects should weigh less than 60 lbs. and be of dimensions that allow them to pass through a 36" x 80" entrance door. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the artist. All work must be insured for shipment. Work available for sale must be sold through ICCGS with 60% of the sale going to the artist and 40% to ICCGS. Participating artists must agree to allow ICCGS staff and visitors to photograph work for educational or publicity purposes.
