About This Call
Gallery 110 announces its first Pride exhibition to take place June 4-27, 2020 in the West Gallery. As part of the 'Art for Good' program, Gallery 110 has partnered with local non-profit Gay City to donate the gallery's profit from works sold during the exhibition. The gallery location in Seattle's Pioneer Square gallery district offers artists the opportunity to have their work viewed by First Thursday Art Walk patrons.
This international juried exhibition is open to artists 18 years of age and older. Artwork may be in any two or three-dimensional media and must be original works of art. Work need not be queer-themed to apply, but selected artists should be prepared to provide a short description of each work that connects either the subject matter or their experience as a queer artist. Entry fee is $10 for two entries and $5 for each additional piece. Entries must be for sale and priced with the intent to sell. A gallery commission of 50% will be deducted from sales to be donated to Gay City. Two-dimensional artwork must be mounted with hanging wire or other hanging apparatus and immediately ready for the wall. For artwork weighing more than 35 pounds, contact the director to ensure the work meets gallery presentation requirements.
Submit 2-20 images and up to 6 videos. Finalists will be notified by email by May 9, 2020 and must return signed consignment agreements within 7 days. Selected artists are responsible for framing and delivery of work to Gallery 110 by May 30, 2020. Delivery and return shipping charges are the artist's responsibility. Gallery 110 is strongly committed to diversity and artists from historically underrepresented communities, particularly trans and POC artists, are strongly encouraged to apply. Artists experiencing financial hardship may contact the director regarding the entry fee.
