2020 Five Points Center for the Visual Arts Small Works Juried Exhibition

Five Points Center for the Visual Arts announces the Five Points Annex 2020 Small Works Juried Exhibition. The exhibition runs February 14 – March 7, 2020, with an opening reception and award ceremony on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Five Points Annex Gallery, 17 Water Street, Torrington, CT 06790. The juror is Power Boothe, Professor of Painting at the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford, whose work is included in collections at the Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, and the British Museum.

Emerging and established artists 18 years or older may submit original works in 2-D and 3-D, no larger than 12" in any direction, not previously exhibited at Five Points. Up to three works may be submitted per artist. The entry fee is $35.00. Submissions are accepted only through CaFE at www.callforentry.org. The deadline for submissions is January 4, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Artists will be notified on January 15, 2020.

Selected works must be delivered ready to hang/install. Deadlines for delivery and shipped artwork are firm: shipped works must arrive by February 5, 2020, and accepted works must be delivered February 6-9, 2020 between 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. All artwork must be for sale and cannot be removed during the exhibition. The gallery commission on sales is 50%. Work not picked up on March 8, 2020 (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) cannot be stored and will be disposed of by the gallery. The prize is a 2021 solo exhibition at Five Points Gallery, 33 Main Street, Torrington, CT 06790.
