2020 Firehouse Art Center Call For Artists

The Firehouse Art Center is accepting applications for its 2021 exhibition calendar. The center is Longmont's leading contemporary art center featuring both national and local artists. The National Historic Landmark building features two exhibition spaces with over 1,000 square feet of space. New exhibitions are installed almost every month. The center focuses on accessible contemporary art that engages curiosity and conversation. Admission is free and the center serves over 10,000 visitors each year.

The exhibitions committee consists of artists, art administrators, business professionals, curators, and art collectors. Preference is given to submissions that are culturally relevant with a unique perspective and the ability to provide a diverse art experience. Cutting edge contemporary work and multi-disciplinary artists are strongly encouraged. Group exhibitions and curatorial proposals are welcomed, as well as solo exhibition proposals from established and emerging artists in all mediums.

Entry fee is $35.00. Applicants may submit up to 3 applications. Work samples must include a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 images, up to 1 audio file, and up to 3 video files, for a total of 3-9 samples. The deadline is August 30, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. International artists are eligible.
