About This Call
The Hatton Gallery at Colorado State University invites Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 graduating BFA students to submit work for the 2020 BFA Juried Exhibition. The exhibition runs from Thursday, May 7th through Friday, August 28th, 2020, with a reception on Friday, May 8th from 4:00–7:00 PM.
Eligibility is limited to graduating BFA students whose work was completed in 400-level concentration courses as directed by their concentration area faculty advisor. Students may submit up to three works (up to 6 images/files) through CAFÉ, including images (.jpeg or .pdf), video, or audio files. File sizes must not exceed 5MB. A brief artist statement of 1500 words or less is required. Submissions are accepted from December 1st, 2019 until April 3rd, 2020. Students will be notified by Friday, April 17th, 2020 of acceptance or decline.
All work selected for the exhibition must be hand-delivered or shipped (at student's expense) to arrive at the Hatton Gallery by Friday, May 1st, 2020. Work must be gallery-ready: wall works require professional mounting apparatus or frames with proper hanging hardware installed; three-dimensional works must be ready for pedestals or include proper hardware and layout instructions. If work is to be shipped back after the exhibition, students must pre-purchase return shipping and provide reusable shipping containers. The Hatton Gallery will not be responsible for returning work without prepaid postage or appropriate packing materials.
