About This Call
This event has been canceled due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. Refunds will be issued to artists.
The Burnsville Visual Arts Society (BVAS), a 501(c)3 nonprofit incorporated in April 1981, invites artists to participate in Art and All That Jazz, a day-long festival featuring 60 booths of fine art and fine one-of-a-kind craft on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 12-10 PM in downtown Burnsville. The event has historically attracted 12-14,000 visitors. Booth spaces are 10'x12' along a beautiful park in the heart of the city, with a sidewalk or grassy median behind each booth for extra supplies. Eight bands will perform inside the Ames Center and eight more outside throughout the day.
Booth fees are $125 for a single booth or $200 for a double booth, both including a $25 BVAS membership, free breakfast, lunch, and one libation, plus a $30 donation to the 30-Days Foundation. Electricity is available for an additional $20. The event offers easy artist access and designated parking, with a welcome booth for check-in and breakfast by 7:30 AM. In case of bad weather, an October rain date will be scheduled with no refunds issued. The Best of Show Booth, designated by the Mayor of Burnsville, receives a free booth spot for 2021.
Artist qualifications require a Minnesota state tax number and sales tax collection. Artwork must demonstrate the artist's ability to create one-of-a-kind original work. BVAS reserves the right to decline artwork deemed unsuitable for a family-friendly event, with fees refunded. Artists must be present in their booth at all times during setup, sales, and tear-down. BVAS collects no commission or taxes. Artists are responsible for proper insurance and protection of their work. Applications are submitted through CAFE with three JPEG images at 72 ppi resolution, not exceeding 1920 pixels on the longest side and 5 MB file size. Artists are notified within three weeks of submission regarding acceptance.
