2020 Art on Parade - Northglenn, CO

Northglenn Arts is conducting an open entry competition to select six sculptures for Northglenn's "Art on Parade" on-loan sculpture program. The selected pieces will be installed for one year at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park surrounding Webster Lake in Northglenn, Colorado, with placement beginning in late May 2020 and remaining on display until May 2021.

Submitted sculptures must be garden-sized or larger (at least three feet in one dimension) and valued at no more than $32,500. Sculptures must be completed before the submission deadline and ready for outdoor installation, capable of being welded to a 1/4" steel plate or mounted using a minimum three-point bolting system with no less than 3/8" bolts. Durable outdoor mediums are acceptable; no hanging sculptures, wooden sculptures, or water features are permitted. Edition sizes over 25 will not be accepted. All pieces must be for sale.

Each of the six finalists will receive a $750 honorarium. An additional $1,000 will be awarded to the recipient of the annual "People's Choice Award." Since the program's inception in 2001, the Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation has purchased each People's Choice winning sculpture. Submit three images of one sculpture (two showing front and back, one showing detail with scale indicated). Multiple sculpture submissions are allowed; if submitting more than one, the highest scoring sculpture will be considered. The six sculptures chosen must represent six different artists. All works will be screened for artistic merit and appropriateness for outdoor display by a committee of local citizens, businesses, students, and NAHF members.
