2020 Art Ability Exhibition at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital

The 25th Annual Art Ability Exhibition is an international juried exhibition and sale of art and fine crafts by artists with disabilities, held at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital in Malvern, PA. The exhibition and sale runs from November 8, 2020 to January 31, 2021.

Eligibility is open to artists with physical, cognitive, visual, and hearing disabilities. Only work created after the onset of a disability or injury, and created within the last five years, is eligible. All works must be for sale and original; reproduction prints are not accepted. Previously exhibited Art Ability works are not eligible. Acceptable media include painting, drawing, fine printmaking, photography, mixed media, sculpture (under 25 lbs.), jewelry, fine crafts, and functional art. No dimension should be less than 13" or more than 48" including the frame, and each piece cannot exceed 25 lbs. All flat works on paper, cardboard, foam core, or delicate surfaces must be protected with Plexiglas and framed. Frames must use Plexiglas and proper wiring; no glass is accepted. All wall art must be properly wired for hanging.

Artists earn 80 percent of sales during the 12-week exhibition. Unsold works are returned after the exhibit closes. Artists may be invited to participate in Art Ability's ongoing sales and exhibition programs, earning 60 percent of sales. More than $7,000 in prizes will be awarded, with prizes up to $1,000 per piece in each media category. Applicants should submit up to 6 works with one JPEG image each through the CaFE website at callforentry.org. An artist statement of no more than 125 words is required. The entry deadline is July 6, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified of preliminary acceptance in August 2020. There is no entry fee.
