2020 Annual Photography Show

The Spanish Peaks Arts Council (SPACe) in La Veta, Colorado is hosting the 2020 Annual Photography Show, running July 28 - August 29. An opening reception will be held August 1, 5-7 pm. Photography must be the original concept and creation of the artist. Works created either on film or digitally will be accepted; digitally created works must be based on photography. No artwork that has been in a SPACe Gallery show or in the Gift Shop within the past 12 months will be accepted. All entered artwork must be for sale.

Cash prizes will be awarded in two categories: COLOR or MONOCHROMATIC. Prize amounts are: 1st Place $400, 2nd Place $250, 3rd Place $100, and Honorable Mention $25. Entry fee is $10 per item for SPACe members and $15 for nonmembers, with a limit of 3 entries per artist. If any entry is over the equivalent of 20"x30", it will count as 2 entries. A 30% commission will be charged on sales for members; 35% for nonmembers. Sold artwork may be replaced for no additional fee.

Artwork should arrive at the Gallery between July 21-25, 11 am-3 pm. No entries will be accepted after July 25, though work may be brought earlier. Shipped works must include a pre-paid return shipping label and will be returned in the same packaging in which it was sent. UPS or USPS preferred. Do not ship glass; nonglare Plexiglas is preferred. Pick up artwork August 29, 2:30-4 pm. Shipped work will be sent by September 10. Applicants must submit 1-3 images. Contact: [email protected].
