2020-2021 Exhibition Season Call

621 Gallery is seeking local, US-based, and international artists to submit proposals for exhibitions. The gallery accepts solo, duo, collectives, and curatorial proposals that will stimulate discussion and debate in Florida's state capital. 621 Gallery is the oldest and largest contemporary arts venue in the region, with a remit to bring exciting and testing exhibitions that engage a broad public spectrum in significant conversations of the day. The gallery strongly encourages applications from underrepresented groups and curatorially driven exhibits. Applications are welcome from emerging and established artists with no limitations on medium or style.

621 Gallery's main space is 77' x 30' with a 12' x 12' freestanding wall dividing the space into two rooms, with the opportunity to take on half or the entire main gallery. The adjoining Nan Boynton Memorial Gallery provides a smaller exhibition space. The Annex space is not available for the 2020-2021 exhibition season.

Exhibition proposals should include: one page cover letter of exhibition proposal, one page artist statement, 15-20 images of the artist's work or examples of curated exhibitions, the space you are most interested in showcasing in, and resume/CV. Images should be no less than 72dpi and 1200px at the longest dimension and can be submitted in PowerPoint or zip file format or mailed to the gallery on USB. Entry fee is $35.00 for non-members and $25.00 for 621 Gallery members. Up to 20 applications are allowed per artist. Applications can be submitted through Café or sent to [email protected].
