2019 Summer/Fall Residencies at Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts

The artist residency program at Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts offers two sessions per year, including three-week programs. Awarded residencies are based on overall application, availability, and the applicant's ranking in the jury process. The Summer/Fall session runs from June–November with an application deadline of March 4, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MST. The Winter/Spring sessions run from January–May with an application deadline of September 1 of the previous year.

A jury will rank residents based on work samples provided with the application. Visual Artists (including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, installation, new media, and video) shall provide 10–20 images or a short video. Language Arts (including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, screenplay or script writing, and scientific writing) shall include no more than 20 pages of material. Musicians and composers should provide two scores and two music files for listening. Do not include your name or website on any work samples; label with titles only. Applicants must submit a CV or resume, artist statement, project description, and contact information for two references. Reference letters are due by February 28, 2019. The entry fee is $40.00.

Selected artists will receive housing, most meals, exclusive studio access, and use of the library, lounge, and kitchen, all located in a meadow along the riparian corridor of Brush Creek. Residents are responsible for all supplies and transportation to Brush Creek Ranch or Laramie Regional Airport. The program is open to international applicants.
