2019 Solo & Group Shows - Crenson Gallery

Barrett Art Center offers opportunities for established and emerging artists to exhibit their work in the historic Crenson Gallery. In 2019, BAC will host three solo or group shows in the Crenson Gallery, held in conjunction with exhibitions in the main galleries.

Eligible media include drawing, painting, pastel, printmaking, photography, sculpture, fiber, mixed-media, new media, and installation works. This presents a unique opportunity for solo or collaborative shows, as well as installation works for the Crenson Gallery and the adjacent exterior second floor side-porch. Proposals of both contemporary and traditional pieces are invited.

Entry Deadline: December 10, 2018. Entry Fee: BAC members - $25; Non-members - $35. Three proposals will be chosen based on technical and artistic execution, a cohesive body of work or coherent theme, overall artistic merit, and gallery size and structural capacity. Juror: Michael Gitlitz, Executive Director, Katonah Museum of Art. Notification of decisions will be sent on or about December 22, 2018, via email.

2019 Show Dates and Gallery Fees:
February 9 - March 26: BAC Members - $160; Non-Members - $190
April 6 - May 18: BAC Members - $160; Non-Members - $190
November 23 - December 21: BAC Members - $130; Non-Members - $160

Opening Receptions held on the first day of each show, Saturday, 3-6pm. Artists are invited to present an artist talk during the exhibition. Commission on sales: Members 20%; Non-members 30%. Contact: [email protected] or (845) 471-2550.
