2019 National Juried Exhibition at Larkin Arts

This is a national juried visual art competition and exhibition open to any artist who is a resident of the United States and over the age of 18, working in two-dimensional media. Eligible media include painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and mixed media works with a maximum depth of five inches, as well as other traditional or non-traditional two-dimensional media, excluding film. All works must have been created within the last three years.

Artists may submit up to two works for a non-refundable entry fee of $35, with the option to submit up to four additional works for $10 per entry, for a maximum of 6 entries total. Work samples must be submitted as JPEG images (1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, 5MB maximum) via CaFE. The entry deadline is August 1, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Jury dates are August 5-19, with notification of acceptance via email on August 26, 2019. The exhibition runs October 5-27, 2019.

The juror is Kristen Chiacchia, Executive Director and Chief Curator at Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville, Virginia. Awards total $2000: Juror's Choice ($800), Directors' Choice ($800), and Audience Choice ($400). All accepted works must be framed or otherwise ready to hang. Works must arrive at the gallery between September 23-27, 2019. For works offered for sale, Larkin Arts takes a 30% commission on sales made during or resulting from the exhibition.
