2019 Left Coast Annual Juried Exhibition

Sanchez Art Center invites submissions for the 2019 Left Coast Annual Juried Exhibition, open to artists age 18 and older from California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. The exhibition runs April 12 - May 19, 2019, with an opening reception on Friday, April 12, 7–9 pm.

Artists may submit up to 20 images, 6 videos, or a combination totaling up to 20 media files. The entry fee is $15 per image. All fine arts visual media will be considered. Artwork must fit through a standard-sized door (80" x 35") and weigh less than 50 lbs. Framed 2D work must be wired (no sawtooth hangers). Work previously shown in prior juried exhibitions at Sanchez Art Center is not eligible.

The juror is Scott A. Shields, Ph.D., Associate Director and Chief Curator at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento. Awards include 2 Exhibition Awards ($250 plus an exhibition in 2019) and 2 Merit Awards ($250). Accepted artists will be notified by February 11. Shipped work must arrive by 5 pm on Thursday, April 4. Hand-delivery is available April 4, 2–8 pm. Artists are encouraged to gallery sit during the exhibition. Sales are encouraged with a 30% commission retained by Sanchez Art Center. Work pickup is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 5–6:30 pm and Monday, May 20, 10 am–12 pm. Entry deadline is Tuesday, January 29, 2019, 11 pm PST.
