2019 LA Artcore 5th Annual Juried Exhibition

LA Artcore is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Juried Exhibition. The July 2019 exhibit will kick off the celebration of LA Artcore's 40th year of supporting contemporary art and developing the careers of visual artists of diverse cultural backgrounds.

Approximately 50 juror-selected images will be exhibited at LA Artcore's historic downtown gallery in the Los Angeles Brewery Arts Colony. The competition seeks outstanding work in all media except freestanding sculpture completed in the last two years. Eligible artists must be over 18 years old, residing in North America, with work completed on or after April 1, 2017, and not previously entered in this competition. LA Artcore staff and Board Members are not eligible. Up to ten wall-mounted works not exceeding 50" in width, 72" in height, 24" in depth and 30 lbs. in weight may be entered. Works must be ready to hang with hanging fixtures included, and all media must be dry upon receiving.

Entry fee is $35.00 for up to 3 entries, with additional entries at $10.00 each up to 10 entries. Payment is accepted by credit card through the CAFE application or by check. Awards include: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $250, 3rd Place $100, and 2 Honorable Mentions as determined by the jury panel. The exhibition runs July 4-28, 2019, with an opening reception and announcement of winners on Sunday, July 7th at 2 pm. Online judging occurs May 19-26, with notification of results on May 30th. Delivery of works is June 6-30. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. Shipments must include prepaid return labels and be shipped in reusable containers. Hand deliveries are accepted Thursday-Sunday 12-4 p.m. at the Brewery Annex (650 A South Avenue 21, Los Angeles, CA 90031). Contact [email protected] for coordination.
