About This Call
Soho Photo Gallery's Portfolio Competition is open to all photographers age 18 or older, excluding members of Soho Photo Gallery. One portfolio per photographer. Entry fee is $65.
A portfolio must contain 12-20 compositionally and technically strong images with a consistent theme or topic. Any subject matter and photographic print medium are acceptable. Members of Soho Photo Gallery's Portfolio Review Committee will jury the competition. The committee has reviewed thousands of portfolios since the gallery's beginning in 1971.
10 semi-finalists will be selected based on their digital files and will be asked to submit 3 prints from their portfolios. Jurors will select three winning portfolios to be exhibited. Pina Zangaro is providing customized portfolio boxes to each winning photographer. Submission deadline is 1/15/19 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Semi-finalists will be notified by 2/1/19 and finalists by 2/18/19.
