2019 Holiday Art Market

The 2019 Annual Holiday Art Market (HART) at Foothills Art Center is seeking fine art and craft in all media suitable for the holiday market. This is the 45th HART and will be open through the holiday season from November 17 - December 29, 2019. Admission is free to the public. The market attracts hundreds of shoppers. Accepted media includes 2-D media, ceramics, jewelry, glass, fiber, leather, metal, wood, edibles, and holiday-themed items including decorations, ornaments and greeting cards. All proceeds benefit local Colorado artists and Foothills Art Center programming.

Eligibility: All work must be original and handmade by the artist. Commercially manufactured components, commercial patterns and molds will not be accepted. Accepted work must be ready to display; all wall art must have proper hanging mechanism (wire with wrapped ends or D rings; no sawtooth hangers). Historically, items priced between $3.00 and $650.00 sell best, especially items under $50.00. The jury will evaluate images by artist rather than by individual artwork.

Entry fee is $30.00. Submit 3-5 images via online application only. Deadline: September 9, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notifications will be sent via email by September 17, 2019. Artist contracts are due by September 16, 2019. All work must be hand-delivered November 6-9 and November 11-12, 2019 by appointment only. FAC retains a 50% commission on sales. Artists who volunteer 28 hours receive a 60% commission; those volunteering 14 hours receive 55%. Pick-up of unsold artwork is January 3-4 and 6-8, 2020 by appointment only. Artist commission checks are mailed February 1, 2020.
