2019 Foothills Art Center Members Show

Foothills Art Center is pleased to announce the 3rd year of its Members' Show featuring the diverse artistic talents and techniques of artist members. The FAC exhibition staff will jury artwork to select an exhibition that features engaging and creative content along with the highest level of craftsmanship. The show will be located in the east gallery which provides for a variety of display opportunities including accommodations for installations and large 3D work.

Open to current members of FAC. If you are not a current member, you may become one through www.foothillsartcenter.org prior to entry. Lapsed members and non-members are not eligible. Entry fee is $15. Up to 3 works may be entered, with a maximum of 1 selected. All media are eligible, including alternative media. Artwork must be for sale (FAC retains a 40% commission on art sales), original (no giclee prints), and not previously shown at FAC. Two-dimensional work must be suitably framed and have all hardware ready for hanging; all other work must be installation ready with instructions if necessary. There is no size restriction but larger works will be assessed for effective use of scale.

Work will be juried by FAC Exhibitions Manager based on: exceptional use of media (15%), rendering of subject matter (15%), effective use of color and contrast (15%), originality of content (20%), overall concept (15%), strong use of composition (15%), and craftsmanship and presentation (5%, more heavily weighted for 3D works). Entry deadline is November 18, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notifications will be sent via email by 5:00 p.m. November 23rd. Artwork delivery is January 14-15, 2019 (10 a.m.-1 p.m.). Exhibition dates are January 24 - April 21, 2019 in FAC Gallery East. Reception is Thursday, January 24, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Artwork pick-up is April 22-23, 2019 (10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.); all mailed work will be shipped no later than April 26th.
