About This Call
The Cultural Council invites professional Palm Beach County artists to submit work for the 2019 Cultural Council Biennial, a juried summer exhibition. The juror is Melanie Johanson, contemporary curator at The Cornell Art Museum. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, 2nd and 3rd place, and a People's Choice award voted on by patrons.
Artists must live or work in Palm Beach County. Submit up to five works for $40 (three works) plus $10 each for up to two additional images. There are no limitations to media or size. All work must be completed in the last three years and not previously shown in Palm Beach County. For sculpture, pedestals should be requested at submission. Each work must include: Title, Date, Media, Dimensions, and Price. When a sale occurs, the Cultural Council retains 25% of the sale, which goes directly to Artist Services.
Applications open February 1, 2019 and close March 30, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified by letter on April 12, 2019. The exhibition runs May 31 through August 10, 2019, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
