2019 Artworks Northwest

Umpqua Valley Arts Association presents Artworks Northwest, a regional juried art show of work from the Pacific Northwest (Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, British Columbia, Western Montana, and Western Wyoming). Open to all media except video.

Juror Danielle M. Knapp is the McCosh Curator at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at the University of Oregon in Eugene. She oversees the museum's initiatives in North American art with focus on Pacific Northwest and European Art, including exhibitions, publications, and acquisitions. Knapp holds degrees in Art History and Museum Studies from the University of Oregon and Eastern Washington University.

Cash awards: $1,000 first place, $500 second place, $300 third place, and $200 J. Lynn Peterson – Hundred Valleys Award. Exhibit dates: May 17 – June 30, 2019. Entry fee: $35 for non-members and $25 for UVAA members for 1–5 artwork entries (non-refundable). Artists may submit up to 5 entries in all themes, genres and media except video. All work must be original, display-ready upon arrival, and completed within the last two years. Work must not have been previously exhibited at UVAA. Fine art prints (including c-prints, digital prints, etchings, lithographs, woodblock, etc.) are eligible if signed, numbered, and in a limited edition of 125 or less. No reproductions or work in violation of copyright will be accepted. All entries must be for sale. Artwork must fit through a standard 3-foot wide door and weigh less than 50 lbs. Entries must be submitted as digital JPG files through the CaFE website. Email notification of acceptance: Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Art delivery to UVAA: Monday, May 13, 2019. Opening reception: Friday, May 17, 5pm to 7pm. Artwork pickup/shipping: July 8 & 9, 2019 from 9am to 4pm. UVAA commission rates are 30% for members and 40% for non-members. UVAA will insure each accepted work for 60% of its value from arrival until release to the shipping agent. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from UVAA.
