2019 Annual Members' Juried Art Exhibition

Artistry's 43rd Annual Members' Juried Art Exhibition runs October 4 – November 15, 2019, with an opening reception and awards ceremony on Friday, October 4, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The exhibition brings together Artistry's talented members in a varied and eclectic collection showcasing many different mediums, styles and techniques. Artwork will be selected and judged by Andrea Specht, a prominent member of the local arts community. Awards include a $500 Best of Show Award, two $200 Excellence awards (one for 2-dimensional work and one for 3-dimensional work), four $100 Merit awards, and four Honorable Mentions.

Eligibility is open to all Artistry members, 18 years or older, who reside in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin. Artwork must be original (no prints or reproductions allowed) and ideally completed in the last five years. All visual art media is accepted, including photography, except film or video. Artwork must be dry, framed, and prepared for hanging. Maximum size for 2-D and 3-D work is 50" in any direction (including the frame). Applicants may submit one or two pieces of artwork. The entry fee is $20 (non-refundable, regardless of the number of pieces submitted). The application deadline is August 17 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Digital images must be in JPEG or JPG format only, with dimensions of 1200 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, and under 5 MB in size.

Accepted artists must deliver their work to Artistry on Saturday, September 28, between 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Notification of acceptance will be emailed by 5:00 p.m. September 3. The exhibition closes at 10:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, and artists must pick up their work on Saturday, November 16 between 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Artistry receives a 25% commission on all sales from the gallery. Major loss or damage to accepted pieces will be covered by Artistry's insurance for fair market value minus the 25% commission.
