2018 Spring Open Juried Art Exhibition

The Falkirk Galleries invites artists residing in the San Francisco Bay Area to submit up to 3 separate pieces of original work completed in the past two years, not previously shown in a Falkirk Cultural Center exhibition. All media are accepted except jewelry or videography. Only digitally uploaded images will be accepted, with 1 digital image required per 2D or 3D work. The submission deadline is Saturday, March 3, 2018 at midnight PST. Notifications of acceptance will be made via email by Thursday, March 8, 2018.

The entry fee is $40 for up to three entries. 2D artwork must not exceed 60 x 60 inches and 30 pounds total weight; all works on paper must be framed and ready to hang with hanging wires. 3D artwork must not exceed 48 x 48 x 48 inches and 70 pounds. Diptychs and triptychs count as one piece. The juror is Lynn Sondag, BFA, MFA, Chair and Associate Professor at Dominican University of California. Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place will be selected by the juror and awarded at the opening reception.

Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered between March 10-16, 2018. The exhibition runs from March 23 to April 26, 2018, with an opening artist reception on Friday, March 23 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The City of San Rafael – Falkirk Cultural Center will take a 30% commission on any artwork sold during the exhibition. Work will not be insured while on Falkirk premises.
