2018 Scott County Art Crawl

The Savage Area Arts Community presents the ninth annual Scott County Art Crawl on Friday, October 12th, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Saturday, October 13th, 2018 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The event is located in local businesses of Savage, Shakopee and Prior Lake, Minnesota, the libraries of Shakopee and Savage, and artist studios throughout the county. Approximately 40-50 artists will display and sell original paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, glass art and more. This is an indoor show with tables provided at libraries and businesses. Artists should bring their own grids, electric cords, or additional lighting; a limited number of grids are available to borrow. An artist reception will be hosted by Babe's Place in Shakopee from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, October 12th. An artist orientation meeting will be held from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 1st to review the event schedule, distribute maps and information, and provide networking opportunities.

Eligible artists are fine art and fine craft artists featuring original handmade artwork. Artists living and/or working in Scott County have priority; artists outside Scott County are accepted based on space availability. Artwork must demonstrate the artist's ability to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Artists must register online at CallForEntry.org and submit 3-10 JPEG images at 72 ppi resolution, 1920 pixels on the longest side, and less than 2MB file size. One submitted image will be selected for marketing materials and social media. Artists must be in attendance at their booth for setup, display, sales, and teardown.

Registration fees are due by September 1st, 2018: $25 membership fee to the Savage Area Arts Community is required, plus $50 registration fee for artists showing in libraries and studios (waived for artists with an approved business sponsor/host). A $15 late fee applies for registrations between August 16th and September 1st. To be included in print advertising, artists must register by August 15th. Coffee will be supplied at library locations, and artists receive promotional materials, ten free postcards, and promotion on the Savage Area Arts Community website and Facebook pages.
