About This Call
The 2018 Roslyn Art Fest Juried Art Show invites submissions of photographs, two-dimensional and three-dimensional art. The theme is "Off the Beaten Path." Maximum size for two-dimensional work is 20" x 24" (excluding frame); maximum size for three-dimensional work is 12" x 12". The submission deadline is July 8, with a limit of three submissions per artist. Entry fee is $10 per piece of artwork.
Juried art will be displayed from August 3 through August 28 at Basecamp Books and Bites in Roslyn, Washington. Works sold while displayed will be charged a 40% commission. All items must be available for sale. The juror is a nationally known artist with extensive art-show judging experience, and cash awards will be given. Art awards will be announced at the Friday Night Art Reception held from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. on August 3.
The festival begins Friday, August 3 with an artists' reception featuring hors d'oeuvres and selected wines at Basecamp Books and Bites from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4 includes Artists-at-Work around town, youth and adult Try-It Art stations, and a Music Jam in downtown Roslyn followed by a family-friendly street dance. The goals of the festival are to promote art and artists, encourage appreciation of the historical qualities of Roslyn, and support local businesses. Proceeds from fees and commissions will be used to plan and promote future art events in Roslyn.
