2018 Overland Park Art at the Center Juried Exhibition

The 2018 Overland Park Art at the Center Juried Exhibition features all manner of art including paintings, film and digital photography, sculpture, video, collage, textiles, jewelry, ceramics, and mixed media. The exhibition runs April 6 through June 3, 2018, with an opening reception on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The juror is Jean Cook.

Entry fee is $25 for up to 4 images. Applicants may submit 1-4 images, up to 1 audio file, and up to 1 video file (minimum 1 total sample required). The entry deadline is February 26, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notification of acceptance will be sent March 5, 2018. Eligibility is open to national artists.

Awards are sponsored by the Friends of Overland Park Arts: Best of Show ($2,000), Second Place ($1,000), Third Place ($500), three Honorable Mention Awards ($250 each), six Juror Choice Awards ($50 each), and a People's Choice Award ($200) selected at the opening reception. Acceptance at the image judging stage does not necessarily guarantee inclusion in the exhibition. Artwork must be received ready to display and must match the submitted image. Framed art must weigh no more than 30 lbs. Hanging wire must be at least 100# weight. Strip framing and saw tooth hangers are forbidden. Stretched canvas may be unframed only if sides are painted (gallery wrap). Floor sculptures or pedestal works must be independently stable. Works that include video must either supply presentation equipment or be playable by a standard DVD player and television. Shipped work disqualified from the exhibition will be returned at the artist's expense. If work is not collected within 45 days by the artist or designated representative, the art will be deemed abandoned and handled at the City of Overland Park's discretion.
